Just Curious

I'm just curious to find out what time ppl go to bed, when they get up, how they get up (alarm: buzzer or radio, baby, hubby, other), etc...
I have to get up early to have a successful day. If I sleep in, I'm a slug for the rest of the day and might as well have stayed in bed. Ugh. Ick. But I HATE the alarm clock!!! Grrrr...not a great way to get up. I used to be such a morning person....not sure what happened. I can't trust myself to just wake up on time like I used to. It really stinks, LOL. I'm a night owl, too. I like the quiet after the kids are in bed. That's my "Me" time, LOL. I can watch tv or read a book, blog, or catch up on emails, scrapbook or make cards, get some sewing done, or just catch up on chores. But late to bed means not early to rise. Where's the happy medium in all this? I'm all for any advice or comments anyone has! :0)
Also...do most of you need 8 hours sleep? I used to be fine on 7, but seems I need 8 these days. My doctor did tell me that TOO MUCH sleep was just as bad as not enough. Hmm.....

well, it's midnight and I'm still up. Projects. And not really fun ones at this time of night. I am TRYING to go to bed by 10:30. The kids usually get up around 6am...which is an improvement. The kids always wake me up. Always.

I need 8 hours if I'm feeling well. If I am sick I need more to get better. I can go for 6 hours a night for the weeknights but then need to sleep 13+ on the weekends.

Malachi Jackson (Cricket Jackson's 5 month old son) is having surgery for glaucoma on May 29. Please pray for his family and his sight during this time of waiting.

I write back after his surgery with the results.

Charlie, your typing is beautiful! And if you can spell your last name..you should be fine with any blog! LOL
I will most certainly be praying for Cricket and Malachi. Will her hubby be able to come back for the surgery? Keep me posted and thanks for the update!

I don't know if I agree with the doc -- I mean, if a body isn't tired, how do you make it sleep, thus giving it too much sleep? Doesn't it just sort of stop when it's had enough? Thinking off the top of my head here.

I don't ever wake up to an alarm. I think an alarm doesn't let your body have a say in it. You know?

But, oh, I do wish I weren't SUCH a night owl. I am so perky and bright from 9pm-12am every night, that I don't go to bed before midnight often. And that's my only time to be alone (seems no matter how early I get up, that's the day they get up early, too!).

I usually get up around 7:30. I love early mornings, though -- too bad I never see them!

If I'm not extremely tired I do like to be up at night...I like to blog, or take care of other hobbies or chores... but honestly, I need to go to bed around 9:00 in order to wake up, with the alarm clock, at 5 and also get up then. And I've found that I need to get up at 5 in order to do my Bible study and still have time to get the kids up, and ready and leave for work on time.
I need 8 hours of sleep regularly for a while in order to eventually trim it down to 7.
