Independence Day

Independence Day
Family, Friends, Fun, and FOOD!!!

The day started with driving over the river and through the woods to hubby's Dad's house. It's become an annual tradition to meet there where the kids can swim, the adults can visit, and we all eat until we are so stuffed we can't move! (Our 4th of July menu ALWAYS includes shrimp and crab legs....better than any restaurant could attempt!!!) -oh, side note- the rings on Junior's eyes were from her goggles! We didn't beat her up. LOL :0)

Hubby was in charge of the camera this trip as I was too busy talking. (Who, me??? :0P )
This is a few of the family and friends that were there.
Hubby's Dad....bet ya couldn't tell, huh? LOL!

Then there's the drive back home in which all 3 kids sleep most of the way (all that swimming and eating wears them out, LOL!).
Once back home we relax and get ready to set off fireworks. Normally we go visit with some friends in our local town and watch the firework show there, but this year we were just too tired and desired a more personal time. The girls really enjoyed it.
DH (dearhubby) can make some beautiful sky shows as well. (see below ;o) ) We actually had a nice show since we could see the neighbors, a bit of the local town's (7 miles away), and some from the casino (10-12 miles away). Good thing it was such a clear night! :0)
I hope everyone had a happy 4th!!!

A Day at the Park With Friends...

Remmy and KatyRendi and Becca
Jaslyn and "A Buxton Twin" (so sorry! I don't know which is which!)
Moms on swing duty, LOL!
The Girl Gang!
We had a wonderful time playing and enjoying the fresh air (after a rainy morning). Friends make normal days grand, don't they?

Branson Trip

Our Trip to Branson
We enjoyed the sights at Branson Landing. This was taken on a pier...windy, cool, and bumpy, but pretty!
There was a great playground at Branson Landing that is set up like a Pirate's Ship
This is at Bass Pro Shop. Can't go to Branson and not hit Bass Pro! LOL
Giant aquarium at Bass Pro.
This was my personal favorite, and if you go to Branson you MUST check it out. They do a water/light show set to music and it is truly beautiful and amazing.
Alas...the Titanic Museum. It was magnificient! As you can see, the family is miniscule in comparison! It really is something worth seeing if you get close to Branson.

The girls and I in front of the Titanic.

There is so much more to post, but I tried to pick and choose. I'm so behind on blogging! I don't think I've blogged half the field trips we've taken this year...we just do so much interesting and fun stuff! It seems like our whole life is a field trip! I'm going to try to blog once per day until I get caught up. Keep in mind it's still soccer season, and we are getting busy with 4-H as well. Thank goodness ballet is nearly over! :0)

BUSY! BUSY!

I'm so sorry it's been so long! Wow, March 22!!! Springtime is here and life is extremely hectic! Soccer, ballet exams, Bible Drill, spring carnivals, WM family day, field trips galore..... The list is never ending, even though we DO pick and choose, knowing we can't possibly do it all! :0)

Anyway...here are a few pics of the girls at the Wal-Mart family fun day this last weekend. They had a blast! I didn't get a lot of pics because I was holding stuffed animals and balloon animals and all thier other prizes, LOL! Jason was helping his dad clear fence, so I didn't have any extra hands.

Ha ha ha! What you don't see in the pic of Remmy throwing the bean bag is that she finally had to stand right in front of the target and throw it at the hole TWICE before it went in! LOL Everyone had a good laugh (with her, not at her). She's sticking to ballet. No "ball" sports for her! :0)
